Authentic 1984 Seiko Gen 1 (1st Generation) Royal Air Force issued military chronograph. Dial & glass near NOS, case in great shape, nice & straight fixed lug bars (often got bent). Excellent overall condition with all functions working correctly. Comes on a grey Nato.
The 7A28 movement, introduced by Seiko in 1983 was the worlds first quartz analog chronograph and 1984 was the first year these watches were issued. This one was manufactured by Seiko's Suwa factory in August 1984. Its MOD serial stamp of 0278/84 indicates it was one of the first few issued when the RAF began rolling them out to pilots & navigators in October of the same year. This reference was issued until November 1990 when the Gen 2 was introduced.
